About Pearl
The idea for Trailside came from the concept of achieving perspective. Having someone to help you gain perspective, shift your thinking, or see another angle is invaluable. Sometimes all that takes is a walk in the woods to get some air, shift our thinking, and try another path. Trailside Consulting takes you on that walk, and brings perspective taking into your daily interactions and critical decision making. By changing your perspective, you can begin to understand situations better and start to transform your life.
In 2019 after experiencing personal heartbreak, and encountering my “Midlife Unraveling”* I decided to found Trailside. At that time I needed perspective taking in my own life and although I knew it intellectually, it was hard to take the time and focus my energy. It took the loss of my father to bring into perspective the fleeting existence that is life. With a new found zest for utilizing each moment to the best of our ability I decided to dedicate my work to helping others find perspective and not get bogged down in stress, conflict, and negative thought patterns. I have a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution and over 15 years experience with teaching, facilitating, coaching and applying conflict management techniques in the workplace setting. I have worked with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations to support their staff in developing conflict management skills.
With my passion for relationships and connection I bring my personal journey with anger, conflict, and peacemaking to each consultation. I believe that each person’s story informs their everyday interactions. Stress and Conflict can negatively affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. In order for us all to be our best selves everyday, we need perspective.
